Vincent Kompany and Martin Demichelis start for Manchester City, but Gael Clichy and Jesus Navas drop out for today's clash against Stoke City.

Vincent Kompany and Martin Demichelis will start for Manchester City in today's Premier League match against Stoke City.

Kompany, who picked up a hamstring strain during the defeat by Barcelona, has recovered in time to take his place in defence. Demichelis starts next to him, despite his red card in the Champions League.

Meanwhile, Samir Nasri and striker Edin Dzeko are in for Gael Clichy and Jesus Navas.

Stoke are unchanged from the 1-1 draw against Swansea City.
