Aston Villa have reportedly identified Manchester City midfielder Douglas Luiz as a potential summer signing.
The Brazilian is yet to make a first-team outing during his two years at the Etihad Stadium, although that is partly due to issues with gaining a work permit.
However, according to The Telegraph, Villa feel that they can overcome any obstacles regarding the 21-year-old's availability to complete a transfer in the coming days.
The report suggests that Villa are willing to pay £15m for Luiz, who has made 17 starts and 21 substitute outings for Girona in La Liga during the last two seasons.
Pep Guardiola had been keen to use Luiz as backup to Fernandinho during the most recent campaign, only to be denied that chance by the authorities.
Luiz has represented his national team at both Under-20 and Under-23 level.
