Leroy Sane's proposed move from Bayern Munich to Manchester City is reportedly 'moving closer'.
The Germany international was strongly linked with a switch to the Allianz Arena last summer, but a serious knee injury prevented him from leaving the Etihad Stadium ahead of the 2019-20 campaign.
Sane's current deal with the Citizens is due to expire next summer, though, and the speculation surrounding his future has again gathered pace ahead of the opening of the transfer market.
Bayern are thought to have recently failed with a £35m move for Sane amid suggestions that City would rather lose the attacker for free next summer than sell him for a cut-price fee.
However, according to The Athletic, the 24-year-old's proposed move to the Bundesliga champions is 'moving closer', with Sane determined to force through a return to Germany.
The former Schalke 04 youngster has scored 39 times and registered 45 assists in 134 appearances for City, winning two Premier League titles, one FA Cup and two EFL Cups during his time at the club.
