Inter Miami are reportedly in line to win the race for Manchester City midfielder David Silva.
With his contract due to expire in the summer, Silva will end his 10-year spell at the Etihad Stadium in June.
For a number of months, it has been suggested that the Spaniard will return to his homeland, where he has previously represented Valencia and Celta Vigo.
However, according to The Independent, the 33-year-old now appears likely to make the switch to the MLS.
Ahead of their first campaign, Inter Miami are looking for high-profile faces, which has led to interest in Silva.
The report suggests that part of the reasoning behind any approach for the playmaker is to boost the club's Hispanic fanbase.
