Manchester City striker Edin Dzeko has reportedly decided to call it quits at the Etihad Stadium following speculation surrounding his future.
The 26-year-old, who moved to the North West club last year for £27m, failed to cement a regular spot in Roberto Mancini's starting lineup this season.
The return of controversial frontman Carlos Tevez and Sergio Aguero's prolific form kept the Bosnian out of contention for a starting spot, which prompted rumours about a possible departure.
It is understood that Mancini's decision to keep Mario Balotelli at the club has influenced Dzeko's decision to leave Manchester, according to the Daily Star.
Meanwhile, it is believed that Mancini is close to signing a new £5m-a-year contract.
