Francesco Totti wants Edin Dzeko at Roma

Francesco Totti says that Manchester City striker Edin Dzeko is a "world-class player" who would be a good signing for Roma.

Roma captain Francesco Totti has said that he wants the club to sign Edin Dzeko from Manchester City this summer.

The 29-year-old has been strongly linked with a move away from the Citizens in recent months, after enduring a frustrating season under Manuel Pellegrini.

"It's not down to me to convince him," Totti told reporters.

"I'm sure that if he should come to AS Roma he can surely help us. He's a world-class player and has a very good eye for goal."

Dzeko scored four goals in the Premier League last season.
