Former Manchester City defender Gael Clichy has reportedly decided to end his stay in English football.
Since 2003, Clichy has represented either Arsenal or City before he was released by the North-West outfit at the end of last season.
The 31-year-old had been linked with a return to London with West Ham United or Crystal Palace but according to Sky Sports News, he is closing in on a move to Turkey.
It has been claimed that he will sign a contract with Istanbul Basaksehir, who finished in second place in the league standings during the most recent campaign.
Should a move be made official, Clichy will be reunited with Emmanuel Adebayor, who he played alongside during his time with Arsenal.
Basaksehir are scheduled to feature in the third qualifying round of the Champions League at the end of July.
