Wolfsburg attacker Kevin De Bruyne is reportedly in talks with his club over a possible move to Manchester City.
The Belgian has been linked with a number of Europe's top clubs so far this summer, having helped Wolfsburg to second place in the Bundesliga last season.
Man City are understood to have offered the 24-year-old a five-year contract at the Etihad Stadium, and De Bruyne is believed to be interested in a move back to the Premier League.
However, Wolfsburg are unwilling to lose the former Chelsea man, and HLN reports that City would have to table a British record fee to prise him away from the Volkswagen Arena.
The former Premier League champions are understood to value De Bruyne at around £40m, but could go as high as £60m to land the playmaker.
City have already brought in Raheem Sterling for an English record fee of £49m this summer.
