Manchester City caretaker manager Brian Kidd has hailed Gael Clichy as a "manager's dream" after the full-back signed a new contract at the club.
Kidd, who replaced Roberto Mancini last week when the Italian was sacked, praised Clichy's attitude among other things.
The Frenchman signed a four-year deal today, having joined City from Arsenal in 2011.
"Gael is a crucial member of this team, and we're all delighted that he's committed his future to Manchester City," Kidd told the club's official website.
"We are building a side that will challenge for honours for years to come and to do that, you need top quality players. Gael comfortably fits into that bracket.
"Gael is a top professional off the pitch as well as on it and his attitude and conduct is faultless. He is a manager's dream."
Clichy is likely to be part of the City side who take on Norwich City tomorrow afternoon.
