Feyenoord manager Ronald Koeman has insisted that he is not aware of any interest in him from Manchester City.
The Premier League champions look likely to fail in their attempts to retain their crown, which has brought the future of current boss Roberto Mancini into question.
However, the Dutch legend has played down talks that he is about to replace the Italian at the Etihad Stadium.
"Players who develop into internationals are in the spotlight, and it is logical that people look at trainers also," Koeman told Voetbal International.
"But I have nothing else to say, because I simply do not know about [City's] reported interest."
Koeman has also managed Ajax, Benfica and Valencia among other clubs.
