Manchester City have reportedly moved to offer a new one-year contract to Vincent Kompany.
The Belgium international has spent the last 10-and-a-half years at the Etihad Stadium, although the 32-year-old's injury problems have left his future at the club in doubt.
Kompany has just over three months remaining on his existing deal, but according to the London Evening Standard, City want to keep the club captain in the North-West.
The centre-back has made just 18 appearances in all competitions this season, but the report claims that City value Kompany's influence in the changing room.
Kompany is also scheduled to be granted a testimonial by City during the summer.
