Manchester City midfielder James Horsfield has joined Doncaster Rovers on a 28-day loan deal.
The 20-year-old, who can also play at right-back, signed his first professional contract at the Etihad in 2014 but has yet to make a competitive appearance for the club.
Horsfield is expected to go straight into the Doncaster squad for Tuesday's league meeting with Swindon Town at the Keepmoat Stadium.
The South Yorkshire outfit currently sit 22nd in the League One table, with seven points from their opening nine fixtures.
