Real Sociedad midfielder Mikel Oyarzabal has allegedly remained on the radar of Manchester City.
Having contributed 43 goals from 167 appearances for the La Liga side, the 22-year-old is being tipped to move to a bigger club in the summer.
The Spain international has been linked with a switch to the Etihad Stadium in the past, only for City to opt against pushing through a deal for the playmaker.
However, El Confidencial claims that the Premier League giants will make a formal approach for Oyarzabal should they part ways with Leroy Sane.
With Sane seemingly not interested in signing a new contract at City, the English outfit will likely be forced into a sale in 2020 due to just 18 months remaining on the attacker's existing terms.
Any funds raised will seemingly be put towards signing Oyarzabal, who could cost in the region of €75m (£62.61m).
