Manchester City reportedly saw a £60m bid for Fiorentina striker Dusan Vlahovic rejected in the most recent transfer window.
The 21-year-old was linked with the likes of City, Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur and Inter Milan over the summer, but Fiorentina managed to keep hold of the highly-rated forward.
After City's hopes of signing Harry Kane were dashed during the last knockings of the window, Pep Guardiola's side supposedly turned their attention to Vlahovic, but their efforts did not bear fruit.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, City offered Fiorentina £60m including add-ons for Vlahovic's services, but Fiorentina owner Rocco Commisso affirmed that the Serbia international was not for sale.
The report adds that Vlahovic has vowed to remain loyal to Fiorentina for the 2021-22 season, but La Viola are unlikely to retain his services beyond next summer, with his current deal due to expire in 2023.
Vlahovic struck 21 goals in 37 Serie A games last season and already boasts three goals from three games in all tournaments this term.
