Manchester City are reportedly willing to include Nicolas Otamendi in a deal for Sevilla centre-back Jules Kounde.
Despite welcoming Nathan Ake to the club from Bournemouth, Pep Guardiola is supposedly keen to bolster his defensive ranks further before the transfer window closes on October 5.
The Citizens continue to be linked with a swoop for Napoli's Kalidou Koulibaly, although a recent report suggested that City have been leapfrogged by Paris Saint-Germain in the race for the Senegal international.
Guardiola's side have reportedly already seen a bid for Kounde rejected by Sevilla, but according to Mundo Deportivo, City will try to drive the price down by including Otamendi as part of a deal.
However, Sevilla are believed to be holding out for a cash-only offer of €60m (£55.2m) for Kounde, and the Europa League winners are not prepared to accept a part-exchange deal for the highly-rated Frenchman.
Otamendi has made 210 appearances for Guardiola's side since his arrival from Valencia in 2015, but the Argentine was an unused substitute in City's victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers on Monday.
