Phil Foden is reportedly set to put pen to paper on a bumper new contract at Manchester City, with his current terms due to expire in the summer of 2024.

Manchester City are reportedly ready to reward Phil Foden with a new-and-improved contract at the Etihad.

The 21-year-old has enjoyed another productive campaign under the tutelage of Pep Guardiola, registering 11 goals and eight assists in 34 appearances across all competitions.

Foden has not had a contract extension at the Etihad since 2018, though, and those terms are due to expire at the end of the 2023-24 season.

However, the Daily Star claims that the England international is now primed to put pen to paper on a new £150k-a-week deal, which was initially agreed in principle six months ago.

The report adds that tying Foden down for his prime years is City's number one priority, and the potential signing of Erling Braut Haaland could bump his wage up even further.

Foden has already won three Premier League titles, four EFL Cups and one FA Cup at City, scoring 42 goals and setting up 30 more in 158 games at his tender age.
