Real Madrid are reportedly preparing to launch a big-money move for Manchester City attacker Raheem Sterling, which will see the Premier League champions offered £70m plus Gareth Bale.
Sterling has developed into one of Europe's biggest stars under the management of Pep Guardiola, with the England international scoring 13 times in 15 appearances for the Citizens this season.
The 24-year-old's current deal at the Etihad Stadium will run until June 2023 but talk of interest from the Spanish capital has gathered pace over the last few weeks.
According to Sky Sports News, representatives from Madrid will watch Sterling in action for England this month before putting a final proposal together.
The report claims that Los Blancos will attempt to lower City's £150m valuation of the former Liverpool attacker by offering £70m plus Bale, who is still unsettled at the Bernabeu.
However, it is alleged that Guardiola has little interest in signing the Wales international, who is again on the sidelines with a calf problem.
Sterling has scored 82 times and registered 70 assists in 206 appearances for the reigning English champions since arriving at the club in the summer of 2015.
