Report: Manchester City to announce Fernando signing this week

Manchester City will reportedly announce the signing of midfielder Fernando from FC Porto later this week.

Manchester City will reportedly announce the signing of Fernando from FC Porto later this week.

The club are believed to have made a £14.5m bid for the midfielder, who played 45 matches for the Portuguese side last season.

According to The Guardian, the 26-year-old will fly to Manchester to undergo a medical with the club later this week before finalising the terms of his move to the Etihad Stadium.

Fernando joined Porto from Brazilian side Vila Nova in 2007.
