Young Manchester City striker Luca Scapuzzi will remain a Blue next season despite reported interest from Italy, according to his agent.
The 21-year-old, who made two appearances for Roberto Mancini in the Carling Cup before loan spells at Oldham and Portsmouth, has been linked with a move to Roma because of interest from manager Zdenek Zeman.
However, Scapuzzi's agent Giuseppe Riso has brushed off this speculation.
He told www.tuttomercatoweb.com: "Luca will remain at Manchester City. He will join City in pre-season training.
"Zeman's interest? He likes the player but we have never spoken.
"Luca's aim is to confirm himself at City."
The champions welcome newly-promoted Southampton to the Etihad on the opening day of the Premier League season.
