Queens Park Rangers are close to completing the signing of Shaun Wright-Phillips, according to talkSPORT.
The winger has not featured in either of Manchester City's squads for their opening two Premier League fixtures and has reportedly been told by manager Roberto Mancini that he can find another club.
Bolton Wanderers and Stoke City have also been credited with an interest in the 29-year-old but the former Chelsea winger is believed to prefer a return to London, leaving QPR in pole position for his signature.
R's manager Neil Warnock has also held talks with Newcastle United's Joey Barton over a move to Loftus Road, although the midfielder has yet to make a decision on his future.
