Report: Kevin de Bruyne to be offered bumper new contract by Wolfsburg

Wolfsburg prepare to offer Kevin de Bruyne £100,000 per week in order to stop him from joining Manchester City.

Wolfsburg will offer Kevin de Bruyne £100,000 per week in order to convince him to sign a new contract, according to reports.

The Belgium midfielder has been heavily linked with a summer switch to Manchester City, and he confirmed that they have been in touch with his agent and discussed a potential deal.

However, Wolfsburg sporting director Klaus Allofs confirmed that the Bundesliga giants intend to enter contract talks as soon as possible, and The Mirror claims that they want to hand him £100,000 per week.

De Bruyne moved to Wolfsburg from Chelsea in 2014.
