Former Liverpool midfielder Dietmar Hamann believes that Manchester United would miss the presence of Phil Jones for their Champions League clash with Real Madrid on Tuesday.

Former Liverpool midfielder Dietmar Hamann believes that Phil Jones "would be a big miss" for Manchester United in their Champions League clash with Real Madrid on Tuesday.

Jones impressed in the first leg in Spain, but it is understood that he missed training on Monday with an ankle injury ahead of the last-16 tie.

"Phil Jones would be a big miss for United tomorrow, he was outstanding at the Bernabeu," Hamann tweeted.

Hamann won the Champions League with Liverpool in 2005.
