Manchester City's Erling Braut Haaland has been unanimously named the Premier League Player of the Season in the Sports Mole Writers' Awards.
The 22-year-old earned every single vote from our team of reporters following a record-breaking debut campaign in English football.
Haaland scored 52 goals and assisted nine more in just 53 appearances across all competitions in 2022-23, helping Man City to claim a historic treble of Premier League, FA Cup and Champions League.
The Norway international's tally included a record 36 in the Premier League, becoming the highest-scoring player in a single season in the competition's history.
Haaland broke the record previously held by Alan Shearer and Andy Cole, both of whom plundered 34 goals in 42-game campaigns, by scoring 36 times in just 35 appearances.
The likes of Martin Odegaard, Bukayo Saka, Harry Kane, Kevin De Bruyne and Marcus Rashford were also in contention for the Premier League Player of the Season award.
However, our reporters were unanimous in their belief that Haaland stood above the rest from the Premier League season just finished, adding the Writers' Award to the Readers' award, which he also won by a convincing margin.
Haaland was also named the FWA Footballer of the Year, as well as winning the official Premier League Player and Young Player of the Season awards.
