Rio Ferdinand has publicly voiced his disappointment at failing to make Roy Hodgson's 23-man England squad for Euro 2012.
The Manchester United defender was omitted in favour John Terry, Gary Cahill and Joleon Lescott.
Reflecting on Hodgson's decision, 33-year-old Ferdinand admitted that he was more than "gutted" to not be part of the travelling party.
"Absolutely loved playing for england....to say I'm gutted is an understatement of the highest order...," he wrote on Twitter.
Ferdinand has featured on 81 occasions for the Three Lions.
