England goalkeeper Joe Hart has described national captain Wayne Rooney as "our talisman" and said that he wants to be on the pitch when the Manchester United man becomes the Three Lions' all-time top goalscorer.
Rooney needs just three more goals to surpass Sir Bobby Charlton's record of 49 for his country and Hart, who plays for United's rivals Manchester City, is certain that his compatriot will break the record soon.
"Wayne will get there, we all know that," Hart told a press conference this afternoon ahead of England's Euro 2016 qualifier against Slovenia on Sunday. "He's our captain, he's our leader, he's our talisman.
"I'm looking forward to hopefully being in the team when Wayne makes history.
"But right now he's all about the team. I'm sure he'd take not scoring for the next five games if we won the games, but if we win, generally he scores."
England are top of Group E with a 100% record of five wins out of five, scoring 15 and conceding just one at the halfway stage of qualifying.
