Ashley Young has insisted that everyone at Manchester United wants to win the Premier League and Europa League to make their season a success.
Despite the criticism of Europe's second cup competition, the winger says that the club are taking it seriously.
The Red Devils are currently two points behind Manchester City in the race for the league and look to be heading into the last 16 of the Europa League after beating Ajax 2-0 on Thursday night. Young believes that their campaign would be considered a failure if they don't win both competitions.
"I think the boys have done tremendously well in the last few weeks and we showed that especially in the second half against Ajax," he told the Manchester Evening News.
"Obviously it was disappointing to go out of the Champions League, but that is in the past and we've got to look forward to this competition now. Not many of the players have played in it and we want to win.
"Winning the title race and winning this competition is what we would consider a successful season. That's what we're involved in and that's what we want to do."
Young moved to Old Trafford in an £18m deal from Aston Villa last summer.
