Team News: Wayne Rooney, Angel di Maria, Radamel Falcao all start for Manchester United

Wayne Rooney captains a strong Manchester United team for tonight's FA Cup fifth-round clash away to Preston North End.

Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal has selected a strong XI for tonight's FA Cup fifth-round clash at Preston North End.

Wayne Rooney will once again operate in a deeper position for the Premier League side, while there are also spots in the team for Angel di Maria and Radamel Falcao.

Daley Blind is also fit following a head injury, while Ander Herrera comes into the midfield for a rare start.

For the home team, experienced forward Kevin Davies is handed a start in attack, while on-loan Leicester City forward Paul Gallagher also starts for the League One side.

Tom Clarke will skipper the hosts from defence, but Sam Johnstone, who is on loan at Preston from Manchester United, is ineligible.

TEAMS

PRESTON: Stuckmann; Clarke, Huntington, Wright, Laird; Humphrey, Welsh, Kilkenny; Gallagher, K. Davies, Garner

MAN UNITED: De Gea; Valencia, Smalling, Rojo, Shaw; Blind, Herrera; Rooney, Fellaini, Di Maria; Falcao
