Newcastle United host Leicester City at St James' Park in their first match of 2020, with both clubs having enjoyed better-than-expected campaigns so far.
The Magpies sit 11th in the table after 20 games - closer to fifth than they are to the relegation zone - whereas Leicester are flying high in second place, albeit 13 points adrift of leaders Liverpool.
We say: Newcastle 1-2 Leicester
Newcastle have generally been good in front of their own fans this season, but with a lengthy injury list and Leicester back towards full strength this looks like a tough test for them. It will not be easy for the Foxes either, but we are backing them to complete the double over the Magpies.

Tottenham Hotspur begin the new decade with a trip to St Mary's as Southampton welcome Spurs to the south coast on New Year's Day.
Jose Mourinho's side sit sixth in the table and five points off the Champions League spots ahead of their visit to a resurgent Southampton, who eased their relegation concerns during a much-improved December.
We say: Southampton 2-2 Tottenham
Goals should be guaranteed in this match considering how much both teams have struggled to keep clean sheets, particularly at home for Southampton and away for Spurs. These two sides have picked up exactly the same number of points over the past seven games and we can see them cancelling each other out here.

Watford vs. Wolves (Wednesday, 3pm)

While Wolves have impressed against the two biggest clubs in the division, we feel that their efforts in those games will take its toll here. Watford have, so far, been excellent under Pearson, and we are backing the home side to secure another crucial victory.

Everton will be looking to continue their 100% start under Carlo Ancelotti when they travel to champions Manchester City on New Year's Day.
The Toffees have beaten Burnley and Newcastle United in their two matches since Ancelotti took control, while City will enter the clash off the back of a 2-0 win over Sheffield United.

Everton are certainly capable of making it a very uncomfortable 90 minutes for City, but we are finding it difficult to back against a win for the champions. We fancy De Bruyne to find the back of the net in a 2-1 home success.

Norwich vs. Crystal Palace (Wednesday, 5.30pm)

Norwich City will be looking for just their fourth Premier League win of the 2019-20 campaign when they welcome Crystal Palace to Carrow Road on New Year's Day.

It is difficult to call this match a relegation six-pointer, but there is no getting away from the fact that it is a huge clash for both teams. Bournemouth are capable of harming the Hammers, but we expect the hosts to shade an extremely close match at the London Stadium.

These high-profile showdowns can often be difficult to call, and this one especially so with both sides being dogged by inconsistency this season. The form book and league table points to a United win, but Arsenal have not got what they deserved from Arteta's two matches at the helm so far and we are backing them to come away with at least a point from this one.

Jurgen Klopp's side begin 2020 with a commanding 13-point lead at the top of the table, while Sheffield United have surpassed all expectations to sit eighth after 20 games, 11 points clear of the relegation zone.
We say: Liverpool 2-0 Sheffield United
Sheffield United are likely to pose serious questions of Liverpool just as they did in the reverse fixture, but the Reds look unstoppable at the moment, particularly at Anfield.
It is by no means a banker for the champions elect and could be exactly the type of fixture which sees them drop points at the tail end of such a hectic schedule, but it is hard to back anything other than a Liverpool win at the moment.
