Man Utd wins: 5
Draws: 1
Rangers wins: 0
Manchester United and Rangers have faced each other a total of six times in all competitions, including four competitive meetings in the group stage of the Champions League and one in the Europa League.
The first encounter between the Red Devils and the Gers took place at Ibrox in October 2003 when Phil Neville's fifth-minute goal proved to be the match-winner in a 1-0 Champions League success for Sir Alex Ferguson's side.
Man United completed the double over Rangers just two weeks later, as a brace from Ruud van Nistelrooy and a strike from Diego Forlan secured a comfortable 3-0 victory over Alex McLeish's Gers at Old Trafford.
The two teams had to wait seven years before they locked horns again in the Champions League group stage, and Rangers held a much-changed Man United side to a goalless stalemate at the Theatre of Dreams in September 2010.
However, the Red Devils snatched all three points in the reverse fixture at Ibrox in November 2010, as Wayne Rooney netted a dramatic 87th-minute penalty to seal a slender 1-0 away victory.
Six months after Man United beat Rangers 2-0 at Ibrox in a pre-season friendly, the Red Devils edged past the Gers by a 2-1 scoreline in the League Phase of the Europa League in January 2025. Cyriel Dessers thought he had snatched a point for Rangers with an 88th-minute equaliser, but Bruno Fernandes fired Man United to victory at Old Trafford courtesy of a 92nd-minute winner.
