Manchester United team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Norwich

Sports Mole rounds up Manchester United's latest injury and suspension news ahead of Saturday's Premier League clash with Norwich City.

Manchester United will be looking to return to winning ways when they welcome Norwich City to Old Trafford in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.

The Red Devils are without a victory in their last three matches in all competitions, losing to Arsenal and Manchester City in the Premier League and EFL Cup respectively, in addition to playing out a goalless draw with Wolverhampton Wanderers in the FA Cup.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side are still fifth in the Premier League table, though, just five points off fourth-placed Chelsea heading into this weekend's fixtures.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up United's latest injury and suspension news ahead of the clash.

Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown

Eric Bailly remains unavailable for selection as the central defender continues to recover from his knee operation that took place over the summer. The Ivorian is believed to be making positive progress, though.

Paul Pogba

Status: Out
Type of injury: Ankle
Possible return date: February 17 (vs. Chelsea)

Paul Pogba has undergone ankle surgery and is expected to be on the sidelines for the next month. As a result, the France international, who continues to be linked with a move away from Old Trafford, might not be available for selection until the clash with Chelsea on February 17.

Scott McTominay

Possible return date: Unknown

Scott McTominay has been on the sidelines since picking up a knee injury against Newcastle United on Boxing Day. The Scotland international was recently ruled out for "a few months" by Solskjaer, suggesting that he might not be ready to return until March.

Axel Tuanzebe

Possible return date: January 11 (vs. Norwich)

Axel Tuanzebe has been out with a hamstring problem since the middle of December but is thought to be making good progress in his recovery and could yet be involved this weekend.

Possible return date: Unknown

Timothy Fosu-Mensah is still recovering from the knee injury that he picked up while on loan at Fulham last season. The defender is in the final year of his contract at Old Trafford and might not play for United again.

Marcos Rojo

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Muscle
Possible return date: January 11 (vs. Norwich)

Marcos Rojo has been restricted to just nine appearances this season due to a muscular problem. The Argentine has not been involved in the Premier League since November 10, meanwhile, and he remains a major doubt for the clash with the Canaries at Old Trafford.

Harry Maguire

Type of injury: Hip
Possible return date: January 11 (vs. Norwich)

Harry Maguire missed out against City on Tuesday night with the problem that he picked up against Wolves in the FA Cup at the weekend.
