Manchester United team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Burnley

Sports Mole rounds up all of Manchester United's latest injury and suspension news ahead of Tuesday's Premier League clash with Burnley.

Manchester United will head to Burnley on Tuesday night knowing that a point would see them move above Liverpool to the top of the Premier League table.

The Red Devils have won eight of their last 10 in the league to rise into second position, and a draw would be enough to move them into first ahead of next weekend's trip to Anfield.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side will enter the contest at Turf Moor off the back of a 1-0 win over Watford in the third round of the FA Cup on Saturday night.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up all of United's latest injury and suspension news ahead of the clash with Burnley, who are currently 16th in the table.

Eric Bailly

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Neck
Possible return date: January 12 (vs. Burnley)

Eric Bailly has emerged as a major doubt for Tuesday's clash with Burnley, having been forced off against Watford with a neck injury following a collision with his own goalkeeper Dean Henderson.

Victor Lindelof

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Unspecified
Possible return date: January 12 (vs. Burnley)

Solskjaer revealed after the clash with Watford that Lindelof missed out against the Hornets through injury, although the issue was not specified. As a result, the Swede, who has struggled with a back problem this season, has emerged as a minor doubt for the match at Turf Moor.

Paul Pogba

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Unspecified
Possible return date: January 12 (vs. Burnley)

Solskjaer also said after the clash with Watford that Pogba was injured; the Frenchman has struggled with an ankle issue over the last 12 months or so, but it is unclear what saw the midfielder miss out in the FA Cup.

Luke Shaw

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Unspecified
Possible return date: January 12 (vs. Burnley)

Luke Shaw, who suffered a hamstring problem earlier this season, was also ruled out of the Watford game with an unspecified issue, but it would not be a surprise to see the left-back return against Burnley.

Phil Jones

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown

Long-term absentee Phil Jones, who continues to be linked with a move away from Old Trafford, is still nursing a knee problem and will again not be available for selection here.

Marcos Rojo

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Calf
Possible return date: January 12 (vs. Burnley)

Marcos Rojo was again absent against Watford due to a calf problem, and the Argentine, who has fallen out of favour at United, could have played his last game for the club.

MANCHESTER UNITED'S SUSPENSION LIST

United have no players suspended for Tuesday's contest, with experienced striker Edinson Cavani serving the final game of his three-match ban against Watford on Saturday.
