Manchester United defender Eric Bailly believes that he has suffered a "really bad" knee ligament injury against Chelsea, according to Jose Mourinho.

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has revealed that Eric Bailly could be out for some time after suffering a "really bad" knee ligament injury.

The centre-back was hurt following a clash with Eden Hazard early in the second half of his side's 4-0 defeat to Chelsea at Stamford Bridge and was taken off after 52 minutes.

Mourinho told Sky Sports News: "He is injured and I am afraid it is a bad injury. It is in his knee, the ligament area. He feels it is really bad."

Bailly has made 11 appearances for the Red Devils since joining in a £30m deal from Villarreal in June.
