Sports Mole rounds up the latest transfer talk for Manchester United on Tuesday, January 19.

The January transfer window is now open, with Manchester United continuing to be linked with a host of big names.

The Red Devils have already agreed a deal to sign Amad Traore, and could look to bolster their ranks further to build on an encouraging first half of the season.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up the latest news on possible comings and goings from Old Trafford.

Tuesday morning's Manchester United transfer talk news roundup:

Chelsea weighing up move for Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Braut Haaland?

Chelsea are reportedly considering a club-record move for Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Braut Haaland at the end of the season.

The Blues spent more than £120m on new recruits in 2020, a large amount of that going on Timo Werner to lead their line.

However, the Germany international has struggled in his first season at Stamford Bridge, scoring nine goals in 27 appearances in all competitions.

According to The Athletic, Chelsea may bring in a new striker ahead of 2021-22, with prolific Dortmund marksman Haaland top of their wishlist.

The 20-year-old is arguably the most sought-after youngster in world football after scoring 35 goals in 35 appearances for BVB since joining a year ago.

Chelsea will face competition from a number of other clubs, though, as Real Madrid, Barcelona and domestic rivals Manchester United are all said to be interested.

The West London outfit's current record transfer is Kai Havertz, who could cost up to £72m with add-ons included.

Manchester United 'to revive Jadon Sancho pursuit this summer'

Borussia Dortmund are reportedly expecting to receive offers for Manchester United target Jadon Sancho in the months leading up to the summer transfer window.

The England international struggled for form during the early stages of the campaign, but he is now starting to hit top gear with six goals and 11 assists in all competitions.

Sancho recently affirmed that he is only focused on Dortmund despite ongoing speculation over his future, and German journalist Raphael Honigstein believes that United will indeed move for the attacker again in the summer.

Speaking to Sky Sports News, Honigstein said: "He's beginning to click again. He looks really sharp, he looks up for it.

"By all accounts, he's had a really good, small, winter break. A few days off where he's come back full of energy. And you can see it on the pitch. And I think the debates or the names being mentioned will increase again, because his form is picking up again.

"But everybody in Dortmund knows nothing will happen in January, the player is not agitating for a move, there's a very clear agreement that transfers of that magnitude at Dortmund will only happen in the summer.

"There was a big transfer announced in January a couple of years ago. That was Christian Pulisic [to Chelsea]. But remember, even his deal was the deal for the summer.

"So no one's stopping United, if they went out, and felt really confident, to say, 'let's do this deal now, let's make sure we get in now'. And maybe then announce it at the end of January. That's inherently possible.

"We just haven't seen or heard anything to suggest that they are indeed ready and willing to come back to that negotiation at the moment. I think everyone at Dortmund is under no illusions that the player wants to leave.

"But they think that the offers and the real negotiations will start closer to towards spring when clubs are perhaps in a better position to understand how much money they'll have available for their transfer window in the summer."

United's pursuit of the 20-year-old last summer was well-documented, but the Red Devils are reportedly set to be joined by Liverpool and Chelsea in the race for his signature this time around.
