Ajax boss Alfred Schreuder has watched Manchester United's 2-1 win over Liverpool in preparation for Tuesday's Champions League meeting with the Reds.
The Dutch champions are looking to begin their European campaign with consecutive victories after thrashing Rangers 4-0 in Amsterdam, while Liverpool are searching for their first win of the competition following a heavy 4-1 defeat to Napoli.
The result in Italy represented Liverpool's second defeat of the season after previously losing 2-1 to Erik ten Hag's Man United in the Premier League on August 22.
Ahead of Tuesday's away meeting with the Reds, Schreuder revealed that he has studied the game plan utilised by former Ajax boss Ten Hag.
Speaking in his pre-match press conference, Schreuder told reporters: "I have looked at the match what they did. There are certain things they did that are applicable to us from the Man United match.
"We have a team meeting tonight and we will have a look at what we have to do and maybe do a few things differently. We'll put our best team on the pitch to challenge for us tomorrow."
Ajax head to Anfield in fine form after winning their last seven matches in all competitions, while they are also aiming for a sixth consecutive clean sheet.
