Manchester United captain Nemanja Vidic has admitted that he is "excited" for the club's pre-season trip to Asia.
Over the coming weeks David Moyes's team will play matches in Bangkok, Yokohama, Osaka and Hong Kong, as well as Sydney in Australia, as they step up their preparations for the new Premier League season.
However, despite the lengthy journey, Vidic has insisted that it is important that the players give something back to their supporters in the Far East.
"I'm very excited. We've had good experiences in Asia before and I hope we have a good one again. We know we have supporters all around the world and we try each year to give them a chance to see a game and meet us. United have done a great job at that over the years," he told the club's official website.
"The fans in Asia are always very excited to see us and are very passionate about Manchester United. They respect the players and they love the club. Even at Old Trafford you can see so many of them each week – they fly all the way to Manchester to watch the games.
"It's always been nice for us to see the different countries when we travel to Asia and I'm sure we'll have another good experience this time."
United's first match of the tour will take place on Saturday, July 13 against a Singha All Star XI in Bangkok.
