Wayne Rooney has revealed that he voted for Daley Blind as his Manchester United Players' Player of the Year.
It was widely expected that goalkeeper David de Gea would scoop the award for a third year in a row.
However, skipper Rooney has decided to acknowledge Dutch defender Blind for a "brilliant" campaign.
"I find it difficult to vote for goalkeepers. For me personally, Daley and Chris [Smalling] have been brilliant for us. I went with Chris last year so it's Daley this year," he told MUTV.
Rooney has won the award twice before, back in 2006 and 2010.
