Julen Lopetegui has opted not to include Iker Casillas or Cesc Fabregas in his first squad as Spain head coach.
Porto goalkeeper Casillas has dropped out, with West Ham United's Adrian preferred, while David de Gea and Pepe Reina have been called up.
There is no place for Chelsea midfielder Fabregas, who is also struggling to get into his club team having been left out of Antonio Conte's starting XI in both recent Premier League fixtures.
Meanwhile, Fabregas's teammate Diego Costa has been recalled, along with Manchester United midfielder Juan Mata.
Lopetegui, who was appointed as Vicente del Bosque's successor last month, will oversee the team play a friendly with Belgium and a 2018 World Cup qualifier against Liechtenstein next month.
