Everton reportedly start negotiations with Manchester United over the possible signing of Darron Gibson.

Everton are reportedly in discussion with Manchester United over a move for midfielder Darron Gibson.

The Toffees are believed to have held preliminary talks with the playmaker over a possible switch to Goodison Park.

Reports have claimed that the Merseyside club are willing to offer £2.5m for the 24-year-old as negotiations between the Premier League sides get underway, according to Sky Sports News.

The Republic of Ireland international has failed to cement a spot in Sir Alex Ferguson's side, prompting the likelihood of a move away from Old Trafford.
