Patrice Evra: 'We could all get booted out of Manchester United if we don't win title'

Evra: 'Ferguson could sack us'

Manchester United defender Patrice Evra has warned his teammates that they all face the sack by manager Sir Alex Ferguson if the Red Devils fail to win back the Premier League title this season.

The North-West outfit are currently six points clear at the top of the table but the Frenchman fears that the players could be in danger if they repeat last year's mistake of slipping from an eight-point lead and allowing Manchester City to clinch the trophy.

"Ferguson is going to sack everyone if we did that," said Evra. "I'm serious. It would not be funny, for the fans, for the players, for everyone.

"We have a six-point lead but the league is not finished yet, there is a long way to go. I remember what happened last year."

United's fierce rivals City currently sit below the former English champions in the title race.
