Patrice Evra says that Manchester United should never be written off.

Patrice Evra has warned that Manchester United should never be written off after their 3-2 FA Cup win over Manchester City on Sunday.

The win came after two successive defeats for the Red Devils, losing to Blackburn at home and Newcastle away.

"Manchester United never die," said Evra. "A lot of people forget that, they don't want to respect the story.

"But when you have the story behind this club, you know that when there's a difficult moment you'll answer back, because everyone in this team has a big character, a big personality.

"The manager told us it was a big game and that we had to go out and show what Manchester United is all about – and that's what we showed."

Manchester United will face Liverpool in the next round of the FA Cup.
