Ferguson accuses Mancini of hypocrisy

Sir Alex Ferguson has accused Roberto Mancini of hypocrisy following their touchline spat during the Manchester derby.

The two counterparts had to be separated by the fourth official as tempers flared in the second half at the Etihad Stadium.

Ferguson said that the Italian showed double standards by getting involved in an exchange he was having with officials when he had been "badgering" the referee all evening.

"[Mancini] was badgering the referee the whole game - the fourth official and the linesman," said Ferguson. "The minute I go out there he's off again.

"He was complaining about the referees the other week - he can't be complaining tonight, that's for sure."

Mancini stated after the match that tensions had run high but there was no problem between him and Ferguson.
