Ryan Giggs: 'Coaching staff should stay'

Manchester United interim boss Ryan Giggs believes that the club's new manager should allow the current coaching staff to remain at Old Trafford.

Manchester United interim boss Ryan Giggs believes that the club's new manager should keep the current coaching staff with the team next season.

Phil Neville, Paul Scholes and Nicky Butt have all been part of the staff at United during the season, and Giggs feels that it would be beneficial to keep them around due to their knowledge of the club.

Giggs told reporters: "Ultimately, it is down to the new manager. I honestly still don't know what's going to happen, but the coaching staff is a decision for the new manager and something I think he definitely has to consider.

"I would say there are more plus points than minus points with what the lads who are already here can bring. They know the culture and the history and the way the club is run. It can definitely be a plus."

Louis van Gaal is the overwhelming favourite to be named United's next permanent manager.
