Former Chelsea midfielder Ruud Gullit has suggested that Manchester United will not get the best out of Memphis Depay if manager Louis van Gaal continues playing the Dutchman out of position.
The 21-year-old slotted just behind striker Wayne Rooney when he made his Premier League debut in last weekend's 1-0 win over Tottenham Hotspur at Old Trafford.
"He plays his best football from the left and now he's behind the striker," the Irish Times quotes Gullit as saying. "If you want to get the best out of him, play him in his best position, but we have to see."
Depay joined United from PSV Eindhoven this summer for a reported £25m fee.
