Dietmar Hamann: 'Angel di Maria would be a good fit for Bayern Munich'

Dietmar Hamann believes that Manchester United midfielder Angel di Maria would be a good signing for Bayern Munich.

Former Germany international Dietmar Hamann has claimed that Manchester United's Angel di Maria would be a good signing for Bayern Munich.

Di Maria has struggled to produce his best form on a consistent basis since joining United for a British-record fee from Real Madrid last summer, and there have been suggestions that the club may look to sell the Argentine at the end of the season.

Despite his troubles in the Premier League, Hamann believes that the midfielder could benefit from a switch to the Allianz Arena.

"Di Maria would fit in well at Bayern," Hamann told Sky Sports News. "The player obviously cost Manchester United a lot of money, but he has been unable to live up to the high expectations."

Reports on Friday suggested that Di Maria's agent had been in talks with Paris Saint-Germain.
