Ander Herrera: 'Manchester United will have a lot of chances to beat Liverpool'

Manchester United midfielder Ander Herrera talks up his side's chances of getting three points against Liverpool when the two sides meet at Old Trafford this weekend.

Manchester United midfielder Ander Herrera has insisted that his side will have plenty of chances to beat Liverpool this weekend if they play at their best.

The Red Devils welcome Brendan Rodgers and his charges to Old Trafford on Saturday night, and Herrera believes that his teammates can also profit from the experience of beating the Anfield club twice last campaign.

"It's true their best player, Coutinho, cannot play but we cannot think about it," Herrera told United's official television channel.

"We have to think about ourselves. If we play well, and we are at our best, we will have a lot of chances to beat them.

"I think it's good for us that we had the experience of last season when we beat them. I think we were much better than them in both games but they are Liverpool and they are a good team with very good players."

Liverpool are yet to pick up a point against United in the league since March of 2014.
