Jose Mourinho is said to have been left angered by Manchester United's stance to offering new contracts to players, such as Anthony Martial and Marcos Rojo.

Jose Mourinho has reportedly been left "angry" with his Manchester United bosses due to their stubbornness in offering new contracts to Anthony Martial and Marcos Rojo.

Both players are understood to be open to extending their stay at Old Trafford after holding initial talks with the club before Christmas.

Two months on from those discussions, though, and no formal offers have been made, which the Daily Mail suggests has annoyed manager Mourinho.

Rojo is due to be out of contract at the end of next season, while Martial's can be extended by a further 12 months to take him through until 2020.

Mourinho is said to be displeased by the Red Devils hierarchy's laid-back stance when it comes to handing out new deals, as he feels it could destabilise the squad at a crucial point in the season.

Juan Mata, Ander Herrera, Luke Shaw, Ashley Young and Daley Blind have all been kept on for a further 12 months, though no such clause existed this time around for Marouane Fellaini, who looks certain to depart as a free agent in the summer.
