Malky Mackay delighted with Cardiff City performance

Malky Mackay says that Cardiff City played "really well" against Manchester United to earn a draw.

Malky Mackay has expressed his happiness with Cardiff City's draw against Manchester United today.

The Red Devils appeared to be heading for a win when Patrice Evra gave them a 2-1 lead at the end of the first half.

However, Kim Bo-Kyung's last minute header earned the home side a point and Mackay believes that it was his team's best first-half performance of the season.

"We played really well. That is the most complete first-half performance this season and we were playing against the champions," he told BBC Sport.

"The belief to play like we did against a team like Manchester United. and press them high - that gives me the most pleasing aspect."

Cardiff are now 15th in the Premier League.
