Harry Maguire reportedly has no intention of asking to be rested after his poor start to the season with Manchester United and England.

Manchester United and England defender Harry Maguire reportedly intends to play through his poor run of form.

Since an incident during a family holiday in Mykonos before the start of the season, the centre-back has performed well below par for both club and country.

The 27-year-old's latest setback came on Wednesday night as he was sent off during the first half of England's 1-0 defeat at home to Denmark.

Maguire's dismissal, which came as a result of two rash challenges in Denmark's half of the pitch, has led to claims that he should be seek some time away from the pitch.

However, the Daily Mail says that the United skipper wants to retain his spot in the starting lineup, leaving Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to make his own decision regarding selection.

United face fixtures against Newcastle United, Paris Saint-Germain and Chelsea over the next 10 days.
