Manchester United are expected to resume first-team training on Wednesday following a coronavirus outbreak, according to a report.

Manchester United are reportedly expected to resume first-team training on Wednesday, with the club looking ahead to Saturday's Premier League clash with Brighton & Hove Albion.

The Red Devils were due to face Brentford in the league on Tuesday evening, but a coronavirus outbreak in the camp led to the fixture in London being postponed.

Man United have not trained properly since the end of last week, as Sunday's session was disrupted following the news of positive cases in the camp.

However, according to BBC Sport journalist Simon Stone, it is 'anticipated' that training at the Carrington training complex will resume on Wednesday morning.

Stone claims that players will undergo tests before taking to the training field, with the Red Devils hoping to have contained the outbreak to a relatively small number of players.

As it stands, Saturday's clash with Brighton is on, but the Premier League will have to consider another postponement depending on how the situation develops in the coming days.
