Manchester United players 'will shake Luis Suarez's hand'

All Manchester United players will reportedly shake Luis Suarez's hand when the team play Liverpool at Anfield.

Manchester United's players have reportedly agreed to put the Luis Suarez race row behind them and shake the player's hand when they visit Liverpool on Sunday.

The Premier League clash will be Liverpool's first home game since the publication of the Hillsborough report, so all players will partake in the pre-match ritual as a mark of respect, The Sun understands.

A United insider told the newspaper: "On a day such as Sunday, which is bound to be full of all kinds of emotion, no-one wants anything to happen that will tarnish the match.

"Luis and Patrice will shake hands just as every other player will shake hands. They want to show unity between United and Liverpool.

"It is only proper that the right example should come from players on the pitch."

Suarez served an eight-match ban for racially abusing United's Patrice Evra last year, and inflamed the situation by refusing the shake the Frenchman's hand at a subsequent fixture.
